Trucker Insurance

Trucker insurance is available for the owner/operator trucking professionals. You see, as the owner of a rig you have a higher share of profit there for the taking. Your hauls are done with your truck, and you don’t have to pay a company for that. That’s the whole point behind being an owner operator.

The flip side of that setup is that any costs incurred are also yours. That’s where trucker insurance starts to make sense. Oh if you’re hauling a load for Panasonic they will insure the load themselves, but that won’t cover your truck if something goes wrong. Even if there was a catastrophic crash, Panasonic will recoup the investment on their load of cargo and walk away.

As the owner of the rig, you need trucker insurance to make sure that you aren’t left without the means of making a living should an accident happen. It’s also required by law that you as a driver at least have liability coverage, in case you cause an accident.
