Trucking Insurance

Trucking insurance is an important aspect of running a shipping company. Without proper insurance not only on your rigs, but their cargo, a single accident can bring you to the brink of financial ruin. It’s legislated that any vehicle on the road at least carry liability coverage. This assures motorists that should someone else cause an accident their repairs and medical bills will be covered.

Liability is a no brainer, but so too should comprehensive coverage be a foregone conclusion for truckers. Can you afford to buy a new truck for your company? Odds are that it would take some saving and corner cutting to replace just a single truck. What about half your fleet? Without comprehensive trucking insurance that is a possibility you could be faced with.

Sure your trucks are important, but so is their cargo. After all in the shipping business you’re invested in delivering cargo to the destination. If the unforeseen occurs and you lose a shipment, you’re liable for it to the customer. Unless of course you have the shipment insured. If that is the case, you turn over the lost shipment to the insurance company and walk away flush.
